Golf Cart Versatility

Golf Cart Versatility

Course, Utility, LSV

There aren’t many vehicles out there that are as versatile as golf carts.  What was once intended to assist golfers complete a round of 18 holes has exploded into a huge aftermarket source.  While there is still a need and use for golf carts on the course there are many new alternatives to help the golfers get their bags to and from each tee.  Such as motorized skateboards, two-wheel motorbikes, and even motorized carts that follow you with a remote.  This allows golf carts to venture into other markets.

Golf carts as utility carts have always been useful and needed but along with being used for course maintenance, they are also the favored means for many apartment complexes since they are quiet and with utility boxes attached really are workhorses. They are also used on farms or large properties to move seed, feed, and haul yard waste. With the addition of winches and lift kits, there really are little locations they can’t get to.

Let’s not forget the rising approval of using golf carts as LSV or Low Speed Vehicles.  These are a great use of going green.  Every week more and more communities around the country are allowing LSV use.  Be sure to check your local and state regulations on turning a golf cart into a LSV because each city has different codes that need to be followed.

What started as a simple necessity has exploded into a great industry.  It is so much fun to see and hear about everyone’s custom setup so please feel free to comment below with your photos and stories.
