Golf carts are fun, useful, and versatile it is also an investment. It takes time and money to maintain and keep running in excellent condition. You must protect your golf cart. Also, be sure that your customers remember to protect that investment to make sure it continues to perform and look great for years to come.
Not everyone can store their golf carts in a garage or building. Many are left out in the elements when not in use. This can cause many problems for the carts such as seat cushion damage, body damage, and other environmental damage. If you are fortunate enough to store your cart in a garage it can still get damaged and dirty. It can also leak battery acid or oil and can potentially ruin your garage finish. There are some easy affordable things you can do and suggest limiting this wear and tear on the golf carts.
Cover your Cart
If your cart is stored inside or out it should always be covered when not in use. This will eliminate the dirt that can get on the cart and protect the paint & cushions. Having your cart covered will also defend against the chance of your cart becoming a catch-all for other garage items such as other items being stored.
Protect Your Floor
If you do store your cart inside, I would also recommend our Gorilla Guard to protect your garage floor from unwanted leaks like battery acid or oil. If you store your cart outside, try to find a location that is either covered or paved. This will help to limit the amount of sun exposure the cart sees and if you store it on a paved surface, it will reduce the moisture that could affect the underbody and slow the rate of rust.
These are just a few simple and affordable ways you can help protect your golf cart from the elements during the off-season. It will also limit the amount you will need to spend on repair and maintenance costs need to get the cart running at its peak performance.
